Veterinarian
Dr. Maribelle Orellana was born and raised in the San Francisco Peninsula. From a very young age, she has wanted to pursue a career in veterinary medicine and grew up with a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, birds, rats, and lizards. Maribelle volunteered at the SF SPCA during high school, assisting in the adoptions and shelter medicine departments where she gained further appreciation for the field.
She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences at UC Davis while working in veterinary emergency and general practice as a veterinary and surgical assistant. In 2023, Dr. Orellana obtained her DVM degree at the University of California, Davis. While in veterinary school, she volunteered at Mercer Veterinary Clinic, where she provided medical care and coordinated spay & neuter procedures for pets of the homeless population in the Sacramento area. She is excited to return to the Bay Area and give back to the community through compassionate veterinary care.
Dr. Orellana is Fear Free certified and cares deeply about the human-animal bond and her patients’ experiences while in her care. She believes in always offering the best medicine and creating a trusting partnership with owners while helping guide them as they make decisions that are best for their families. Maribelle’s veterinary interests include feline & canine surgery, neurology, and dermatology.
Maribelle has extensive family all over the Bay Area and is excited to become more involved in the East Bay community. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, biking, spending time with friends and family, and trying new foods. She also enjoys spending time with her chihuahua, “Indie,” and her terrier mix, “Mr. T.”
